Enterprise administrators are recognized among their peers and managers as leaders in Windows infrastructure design.
Direct2 IT (Enterprise Administrator) is a combination of three technical training steps. Each step offers a specific set of skills to enable you to enter and or enhance your career. Enterprise Administrator is the third and final step in the Direct2 IT training and career program. This program will give you the skills to design and deploy a Microsoft network infrastructure with Active Directory.

This program is the perfect way for those who have successfully completed the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator certification or have equivalent experience with computers to establish a strong career in IT. The program provides you with the skills and knowledge that come with an internationally recognised industry certification and two nationally recognised Certificate IV Information Technology - (Networking) & (Support) qualifications.

MS6435: Designing a Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure
After completing this course, students will be able to:
- Describe key components of network infrastructure design.
- Describe how to design a secure network.
- Design a plan for allocating IP addresses to workstations and servers.
- Design a network topology.
- Describe the internal considerations for network security and how they can be addressed.
- Design an appropriate name resolution system that incorporates Domain Name System (DNS).
MS6436: Designing a Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Infrastructure and Services
At the end of this course, students will learn how to design an Active Directory Infrastructure in Windows Server 2008. Students will learn how to design Active Directory forests, domain infrastructure, sites and replication, administrative structures, group policies, and Public Key Infrastructures. Students will also learn how to design for security, high availability, disaster recovery, and migrations.
MS6437: Designing a Windows Server 2008 Application Infrastructure
After completing this course, students will be able to:
- Design IIS 7 Web farms.
- Optimize IIS 7 for performance and stability.
- Design IIS 7 for security.
- Design and prepare a Terminal Services infrastructure.
- Design a Terminal Services maintenance strategy.
- Implement virtualization to consolidate servers, support legacy applications, and create a test environment.
- Determine virtualization appropriateness and virtual server provisioning.
Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure Configuration:
MS6418: Deploying Windows Server 2008 (3 Days)
This course provides students with an understanding of migrating and deploying Windows Server 2008 including installation, configuration, and upgrading. Special emphasis is given to upgrading common server configurations and using the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit.
MS6427: Configuring and Troubleshooting Internet Information Services in Windows Server 2008
In this course, the students will learn to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot an Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0 Web Server in Windows Server 2008.
MS6428: Configuring and Troubleshooting Windows Server 2008 Terminal Services
Work Based Training (Optional)
Throughout the program you are sent out on internships where you gain invaluable experience in the workplace. This part of the training adds so much to your experience and your ability to secure employment upon completion of the course.
