Living in Perth Australia
Perth, the capital of Western Australia, is a beautiful, clean city of around 1.4 million people, located on the banks of the Swan River. Perth is surrounded by lovely park lands and magnificent ocean beaches. Whether you enjoy watersports such as surfing, swimming, scuba diving and fishing, or other sports such as soccer, basketball, badminton and tennis, or even just relaxing - there is something for everyone. You will find the people in this multi-cultural city are both friendly and helpful to visitors from foreign shores.
Perth has a Mediterranean climate. Summer dress in Perth is similar to that worn in South East Asia, but warmer clothing is needed in winter. Perth is in a similar time zone to most Asian countries (GMT +8 hours) and is a favoured destination for many international students.
